high levels of contrast (white background and black ridges).
Filenames and annotations can be added to images.
Images can be printed to any scale.
Image authentication and verification is provided for.
It has secure access.
Audit Trails are used for quality and verification purposes.
The enhancement tool allows customization to fulfill your
unique requirements.
Functions such as pencils and erasers are not available to add
and remove ridge details.

Software Solutions
Solve Forensics is a suite of applications developed by FDA for the forensic investigations arena. Two applications form part of this suite: DNA Profile database and Q4Q Quality Management. Both systems are developed and maintained in South Africa.
Q4Q (Quality 4 Quality) is Quality Management Software that supports the implementation and maintenance of laboratory quality standards (ISO 9000 standards, as well as industry specific interpretations e.g. ISO17025 for testing and calibration laboratories)
SOLVE DNA Profile Database is a highly configurable software solution that supports the requirements for managing STR Databases. Any STR profiling kit, with any number of loci, can be accommodated with no system redevelopment. Full support exists for Mixture and Tri-Allele Profiles
PCEM is a desktop application that assists with the tracking and tracing of exhibits and case related documents in a secure environment. It assigns a unique datamatrix code to each exhibit / document. It also registers the movement of exhibits / documents either from Person to Person or from Location to an authorised individual. Its users can draw reports on the movement of these objects and the contents of storage areas
The Firearm Permit System (FPS) is a system that assists with the track and trace of firearms and firearm permits in a security environment. It also registers the movement of monitored items either from Person to Location or between people.

FDA in partnership with a leading Swiss Company that specializes in Security Foils and their local representatives have developed Labels /Security Seal that incorporates leading edge security and tamper evidence technologies.
